A methyl methacrylate, water-clear plexiglass shield for exposed aggregate and precast, formulated with scientifically selected polymers for moisture repellence and high resistance to abrasion. Will not yellow.
BRIGHT ROCK SEALER has been formulated on the basis of test reports by Portland Cement Association, "Clear Coatings for Exposed Architectural Concrete," by Albert Litvin, Portland Cement Association Research and Development Lab: Vol. 10, No. 2, 49-57. In tests under varying circumstances nationwide and in comparison with a multitude of bases and competitive products, it has performed with outstanding results.

Application
SURFACE PREPARATION
Test panels should be made on specific jobs to ensure use of proper sealer and to determine the number of coats required. Surface must be clean, dry, structurally sound and free of foreign matter such as grease, oil and dirt. Defective mortar and open joints should be pointed. Cracks, expansion joints, spalling, should be repaired before sealing.
METHOD
Spray or roll.
APPLICATION
Allow exposed aggregate and colored concrete to cure a minimum of 7 days prior to application. Spray one light coat to the point of rejection, avoiding puddling. If additional gloss or protection is desired, two light coats are preferable to one heavy coat. Allow first coat to dry prior to application of second coat to avoid trapping solvents.

Limitations
Protect glass, ceramic and aluminum from overspray.
Not for continual immersion in water or around pools or fountains.
Test panels should be made on specific jobs and left for the amount of time specified by the architect to ensure use of proper sealer and to determine the number of coats required.
Technical Bulletin 4312: If sealers are applied too soon to colored concrete, they may turn milky under some circumstances. Sealers are most reliably applied to colored concrete that has cured a minimum of 7 days.
Never apply to frozen concrete even if the atmospheric temperature has gone up to 50-60°F (10-16°C).
Should be applied at 40°F (4°C) or above. |
Cleanup
Sprayers and equipment may be cleaned with Unitex CITRI-CLEAN.
Cautions
Contains combustible solvent.
Keep away from sources of ignition.
Use with adequate ventilation. |
